Seat riser sets for the Pelican Catch Mode 110 and the Catch Mode 130 with the seat that mounts on the molded slots.
Originally designed so the 22mm seat bar is trapped in position in the front and cannot slide side to side and the rear accepts the seat bar with the rubber cap either on or off.
NOTE that the design of the kayak itself does not lend to "fastening" the rear risers so they cannot move so know beforehand when you order that without a load on the seat with the seat risers in position they are free to move about. I have taken steps to limit their movement but there is only so much I can do with it given the manufacturer's design. If you wish to have the rear risers in a fixed position then there is the need for something such as an adhesive or 2 sided tape to assist in doing so. Some people are ok with the movement, some see the problem and attach them, others want to return the risers and claim they don't fit, and I have been accepting the returns but I am at a point now where I will stop accepting them since they do exactly what they are designed to do. If it were poor workmanship or inferior quality that's on me and I can accept that but that has not been the case, so be forewarned, they fit a kayak that was not designed to be fitted with seat risers and do what they are supposed to do. There are ways to improve their installation but I cannot tell people what to do with their kayak so please consider this statement before ordering. Quite simply, if you order and are not pleased with the way the rear seat risers attach, then attach them. I cannot take them back for that reason. This has been a popular set all over and as such has received quite a few good reviews and also a couple of complaints with suggestions for improvement and so I have changed a couple of things I'm offering as well as still offering the original designs.
Originally, the idea was to trap the front bar to control side to side movement by using the hole for the bar with end caps, or blind holes if you will. The rear risers use what is basically an open cradle type design, so the rear bar just rests in it, which allows the freedom to tilt the seat forward if need be.
Recently A comment I was sent from a satisfied customer who purchased a 4 inch set said the only way he could think of to make them work better was if the rears were capped also like the front which would really stabilize the whole set up because the seat is trapped front and rear. I like it, so I have decided to offer the option of the sets in both designs.
I have another new feature that I'm starting now that Is only offered currently for the 3 inch and 4 inch design. This is the option to add PVC pipe to the seat risers at install. it takes 2 pieces of pvc pipe, or the black abs pipe, both sold locally everywhere for plumbing and I'm not offering them, but there is a 4 inch version now available that has accommodations for inserting 2 pieces of plastic pipe about 20 1/2 inches long and it really stabilizes the 4 inch set perfectly. Like I said, not necessarily needed on the 2 or 3 I don't think but available upon request.
And then for the early birds who have already been buying this design, I am offering the newly designed capped rears in pairs for anyone wishing to shore up their install of the original open cradle design sets.
I had added CAD images to help describe the differences in the designs. All designs and options available in all 4 colors No tools required.
